Salzburg
Sommerfestspiele
Summer in Salzburg means enjoying culture and nature in equal measure. Let yourself be enchanted by the charm and the special festival atmosphere on the banks of the Salzach in the midst of the charming mountain scenery and take a seat in the most famous venues.
With operas, concerts and plays, the Festival Weeks 2025 under Artistic Director Markus Hinterhäuser once again offer a wide-ranging programme. Experience the wonderful Lisette Oropesa in a new production of Donizetti’s ‘Maria Stuarda’ and be mesmerised by Asmik Grigorian as Lady Macbeth. Of course, ‘Jedermann’ with Philipp Hochmair should not be missing from the Salzburg programme - nor should the top orchestras of the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonics with their charismatic maestros.
And if you would like to extend your summer dream by a few more sunny days: Please get in touch with us, because Salzburg and the fantastic landscape in the Salzkammergut with its numerous lakes, genuine hospitality and top-class cuisine are definitely worth a holiday.

Mozart Week
In 2026, the focus will be on two major Mozart anniversaries: his 270th birthday and 70 years of Mozart Week Salzburg under the anniversary motto “Mozart: lux æterna”.
In addition to a new production of “The Magic Flute” by artistic director Rolando Villazón, you can look forward to the Mozarteum Orchestra and the Cappella Andrea Barca, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Igor Levit and Sir András Schiff.
Experience Salzburg in winter with its very special charm and less hustle and bustle. Take a stroll through the old town, enjoy a warming coffee break or visit Hohensalzburg Fortress - with panoramic views over the rooftops of Salzburg and the snow-covered mountains of the Salzburger Land: there are probably few times of the year when the hospitable city on the Salzach is as tranquil as at this time of year.

Easter Festival
For many, it will be like coming home when the Berliner Philharmoniker return to Salzburg in 2026 to stage the traditional Easter Festival. In the city where Herbert von Karajan founded it in 1967. Since then, they have been an integral part of international musical and cultural life. Their excellent and exclusive reputation far beyond the borders of Salzburg is confirmed time and again, as they combine the finest opera, choral and orchestral delights with top-class international soloists.
With Kirill Petrenko conducting, “Rheingold” marks the start of a new Ring cycle that will be forged further in the coming years.
Enjoy the special, festive Easter atmosphere and spring on the Salzach and let yourself be pampered by Austrian hospitality.
